Hey guys, sorry but I can't seem to find answers anywhere!

I got a new ASUS GTX-760 DC2 and a Corsair 650 TX power supply.

Now, the asus card only has one 8 pin slot. But it also came with a special adapter that converts two 6 pins into one 8 pin (which goes into the 8 pin card slot). The Corsair PSU has two 6+2 pin connectors. My question is, can I directly connect one 6+2 pin from the PSU to the 8 pin card slot? Do I need this adapter at all? Do I need to connect both 6 pins to the adapter?

Can I directly connect one 6+2 pin from the PSU to the 8 pin card slot? Do I need this adapter at all? Yes , no need for the adapter.

It will give enough power to the card right, even without the adapter?

Yes , it's better not to use adapters.

I have a very similar situation to the original poster

I have an adapter that looks like it has an input for 2 6 pin inputs, to 1 8 pin output, will it work if I only put one 6 pin into it?
