I would really like to be able to use my computer speakers with my tv as well, since i'm using my tv as a second monitor, they are right next to each other, i just don't know what kind of splitter i'd need so i can plug them into both, (not using them at the same time though). I have a rca cable for my tv since it doesn't have a headphone jack, and i'm using these speakers http://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitech-z313-2-1-channel-speaker-system-3-piece-black-silver/9427774.p?id=1218104302605&skuId=9427774. Is there anything i can buy to split it, hopefully something inexpensive with a long cable.

Yes it has the audio output jacks and i have a converter so i can plug in headphones. I would like to be able to use my speakers so i can watch a blu ray, without having to unplug them from my computer. I was thinking of using a cord that had two male to one female, so i could plug the speakers into the female, then for the two males, one into the computer, the other into the tv. But i do not know if that would work, and i can't even find a cord long enough (at least five or six feet).

if you already have a converter so you can plug in headphones then you should be able to plug in your pc speakers to the same converter.
essentially a headphone jack and 2.0/2.1 speaker jack are the same thing.

if you want them hooked up to both the pc and tv then you would want a 3.5mm switch inline with the cable (if not both the tv and pc might attempt to send signals to the speakers at the same time).
you could use a 3.5mm splitter however you would need to unplug the speakers from the tv when you are done using them (and the pc cant be on at the same time as using the tv for another source)
