so i have 2 audio cards , originally one died year ago so i went pc repair service and they placed new one but didnt remove old one , so when i plug into new one it does no sound and if i do into old it does PSHSHSHSHSH so and i understand its currently using old one , how do i change it?

There is a resource conflict between two cards which use the same resources.
Turn off and unplug your PC.
Remove the old audio card that's faulty.
Re-assemble the casing.
Reboot your PC.

You may have to re-install the driver for the newer card, if so you'll need to find out what make and model it is, then go to that manufacturer's website and click on "Support >> Drivers"

I can't understand the repair shop leaving the old sound card in - unless it's "on-board" and therefore cannot be removed. If that's the case, you'll need to go into BIOS Setup and disable the on-board sound adapter, or disable it in Windows Device Manager and reboot if it can't be disabled in BIOS Setup.
