You only got 60 fps before "refreshing" with that setup? I got 60 with an FX4170 and GT430. Something's wrong. Try toggling vsync and openGL in minecraft's settings. If those don't fix the issue, you might have a heat problem.
I kept it locked at 60 before, I tried both of those settings but neither worked, anything else I can do?

Download HWMonitor and tell us your temperatures after gaming for a few minutes. It's possible that things are getting too hot and your computer is throttling itself.

After about 10 minutes of gaming my cpu's min was 39C and the max was 46C. My Gpu's min was 27C and it's max was 37C.
