thanks for the info, so far thats the response I've been getting. Would be nice to see any lurkers out here that has a similar "single GTX 780 Ti with tri-monitor" set up. I'm curious to know what kind of fps or settings they use while playing bf4/crysis3/ac4/etc.

if i had to take a wild guess, i think the GTX 780 Ti would manage lets say BF4 under mid setting and still get 50-60 fps, at least i hope :)

That card will run 4 monitors at a time, make sure you use the dual link and dvi-d cables since I believe 1 port is dvi-d and the other is dvi-I.

Question: just what do you regard as decent fps and quality? your monitors are 1080p, so no worries there, but if you try to play BF4 multiplayer on max settings pushing 3x1080p monitors, you can reasonably expect some degradation of performance, if that means your fps drops from 105 to 75 for example, yes you have suffered, but with a 60fps cap set by a 60hz refresh monitor, you will not see the difference at 75fps.

Just like a budget, there are limits to everything, and yes that even includes the worlds best gaming card. It is unknown if your games will reach those limits, or even if reached, exactly what they will be, as you have set no boundaries, like what games, single or multiplayer, just what you have on the other 2x monitors if running the game on the center one etc etc etc.

ps. Damn that's a nice build....

thanks for taking the time to give me some insight, honestly i would expect my end build to have a minimum of 60 fps under ultra settings running all monitors (not sure if my jacked up eyes would even tell a difference 0_o).

I'll shamefully admit I'm still learning how each hardware works and what the specs actually mean (in this case the vx279q being a 60hz monitor, i didnt know that the analog/digital signal frequency had a direct correlation to fps, unless I'm misunderstanding you) well I'm happy to learn something new everyday, thanks for that bit of info man!

Also thank you, i do hope this build will last a long while and provide jaw dropping gaming sessions :)

you are welcome. other posts I have read say when using 3 monitors, use the DL dvi, with dvi-d cables, and use the display port. That gives the highest frequencies possible, correlating to best performance. The HDMI is only 60hz, whereas the DL and DP are 120+hz.

fps is frames per second, 60Hertz, is the frequency of refresh by your monitor per second, so basically 1 Hertz = 1 frame per second. so, even if you can punch 120fps from your gpu, your monitor's gonna put the brakes on that and you will see 60Hz/fps. its only when fps starts getting below 30ish that staggering really becomes obvious, because our eyes can actually see that, on average, some ppl are more sensitive, some less. if playing BF4 and you can smack out 40+ fps on very-high or ultra, you are doin good, your gameplay is definitely playable. drop to 20fps? its time to lower the settings some.

You should be able to obtain those FPS with at least high settings at that resolution.

If you're only getting 30 fps on a triple monitor 1080p display with dual 780ti's.. You're doing something wrong.. It should be around 80 fps or better with sli. Check out Jay 2 cents benchmark video of this exact setup with bf4 on YouTube.
