I have been looking at the mATX form factor to assemble a HTPC that I can also use is a desktop (I may try to build an FX-AM3+ box later for this purpose if feasible.). The lack of suitable real estate of the mini-ITX causes me to turn away.
I have not seen much written on the FM2+ motherboards and need to know who makes the good boards. I know the FM2+ Mbd were designed for the Kaveri APU, but will also work with Richland and Trinity (I could use Richland, but would leave Trinity alone since Kaveri is now on the market.). Maybe I have not seen much on these mbds because, the Kaveri just entered the market??
Can anyone refer me to some critical reviews of these Mbds or offer there personal experience with them? I want to go through a thorough exercise of selecting components for the mATX build and see how I feel about it before giving into actually building it.
