Parts List:
PSU: Ultra LSP 650W
PSU 2: Corsair 750W
Memory: Kingston DDR3 4 GB
Motherboard: GA-F2A88XM-HD3
CPU: A4 5300
GPU: Radeon R9 290X

Installed APU matching the Triangles to board and installed heatsink with cooling fan. Wired that to CPU Fan pin. Installed memory chip in slot ddr3_1 making sure to click and seat. Wired front panel wire to board making sure all pluses and minuses were correct on pin 6. Wired 24 pin connector to the same on board and wired the ATX_12 connector on board also. Installed the Radeon in PCi-E slot 1 closest to the CPU. Connect the ATX wires to the GPU. Went to fire it up and nothing. Re-Checked wiring and tried again. No fire. Took out and disconnected the PSU. Took it to a local repair shop to have it checked. Dead on arrival. When to Best Buy, don't judge please, bought the Corsair and installed it. After about 3 minutes it fires up. No beeps because there is no beeper. Shut build down and connected the monitor to the Radeon. Fire it up and the Bios Logo comes up but was unable to hit F10 in time. Logo disappeared and went to black screen and pointer. Reset unit. This time no Logo just black screen and pointer. Removed the Radeon and connect to onboard HDMI. Black screen with pointer only. Rechecked all connectors. Reseated CPU and Reseated memory also. Fire it up and black screen and pointer. Took battery out and use jumper to clear CMOS. Fired it up again and can you guess? Black screen and pointer.
All fans run great though.
This build is a headless miner.
Any help would be great. I bet it something
very simple but can't get my brain to see it.
I've been searching the net and these forums for 8 hours now.

Solution
Your CPU is fine. Many miners use a single core sempron, but it won't really matter. I don't mine, but I just saw a machine on Tiger Direct that was very similar to yours. Here is the Toms' Hardware list. Perhaps you have already seen it and it sounds like you have been quite thorough, but take a look if you haven't seen it. The other solution is to call Gigabyte. I have called both Asus and Gigabyte and found both to be quite helpful with MB issues. In both cases they facilitated a rush delivery from the retailer by getting them an RA directly. It wasn't fun, but necessary. Sometimes they know the little quirks with their MB's that cause problems and how to quickly determine if your MB is defective...
you paired an a4 5300 with a r9 290x... you wasted your money mate. that build when it works will bottleneck so badly as to be useless. im talking 5 10 fps max because the cpu is so weak compared to the gpu...
as for your problem.
a blinking white cursor at the top of the screen often means the bios cant find or detect the hardware properly. clearing the bios would normally help but as you have done that it likely means you need to take it to a shop and have a pro look at it.
this time make sure its working 100% before you leave the store.

What CPU do you reconmend?
I think there is a misunderstanding when it comes to a curser? All I see on the monitor is a pointer.
Even when I remove the R9 290x and use the built in graphics there is still a black screen and pointer. It actually worked better the first time it was booted up with the R9.
The only thing I took to the shop was the PSU and it was dead. That's when I bought the 2nd PSU. The shop didn't charge me for the check.
All I really need the R9 for is mining Crypto-Coins. It won't be hooked to any monitor.

Thank you for helping me. I did read the tutorial that you pointed me too but missed a very inportant line. I tried to connect HDMI and didn't have the drivers installed.
Thanks again.
