Greetings! I'm a long time reader of Tom's and this is my 1st time asking for advice. Below are my PC's stats:
Case: Cooler Master Centurion 590
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4
CPU: AMD Phenom Black II X4 965
RAM: 16gb
GPU ATI Radeon HD 5850 1gb
My pc is about 4 years old and I'm looking to start upgrading things on it. I tend to lean towards AMD products since I am on a budget. I want to upgrade my video card and have around $150-$175 to spend. I'd like some advice on what I should get. I've been shopping around and see the Radeon R7 265 just went on sale. I've done GFX card comparisons on several websites and it seems that my old 5850 is still coming out on top. Are there any other cards out there that may be a decent upgrade for my price range? As far as what I play, I play games such as Rome 2: Total war, and other GPU heavy strategy games. Thanks ahead of time for any replies and please ask if more info is needed.
