Hi, I'm new here!
I normally build computers but I need a little help with this as I can't find a solution
I didn't know what category to put this in so I hope it's in the correct one.

I am going on holiday with the family and we are going to be staying in a caravan, there is no internet (3G) signal there so we can't rely on tethering, but the complex that has free wifi for site members and we are located about 200 meters away, we would like to use the internet for the iPads and read in a camping book (don't recall the books name) that it was possible to use our old router with a strong, long range antenna (which we have) and link that to the centre and use their wifi to our router in the caravan and then our wireless devices connected to that.

I don't know how I would do this, I have a router that has DGTeam firmware on it (netgear DG834G V3) and the antenna can pick up wifi signals from about 1/4 mile at home as we have tested it hooked up to a old laptop

So basically I'm asking for steps of linking the router to the wifi connection and use it in the caravan for our wireless devices,

If this has been posted before I'm sorry I couldn't find it, if you link it to me I will attempt to remove this post.

Many huge thanks Andrew :)

The only way you can do this, is to configure both, your router (if your router supports it) and the access point you're trying to connect as a WDS network.
