Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my PC but was wondering if my parts could handle what I want to upgrade it with. The thing i'm trying to upgrade it with is a gtx 780, and a i7 core processor.

Here's a list of my specs right now:

AMD 6-Core FX-6300 Processor with AMD Radeon HD 7750 dedicated graphics

8GB DDR3 SDRAM

Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support

6MB L2 cache memory

1TB Serial ATA III hard drive (7200 rpm)

AMD Radeon HD 7750 graphics

8 high-speed USB 2.0 ports

Built-in 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN

So could I replace my CPU and my GPU with a gtx 780 and a i7 core?

Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system preinstalled

just change ur cpu, motherboard and gpu-
CPU:Intel core I7 4770(go for the 4770k if want to overclock)
GPU:Zotac gtx 780 3gb
Motherboard:Gigabyte H87M-D3H Motherboard
you may also need a new psu. i recommend you to buy a corsair/seasonic 750 watt psu

Just sell the whole PC and Buy yourself a new one with i7 and GTX 780. I think it should be the best for it is difficult to sell diff parts rather that as a whole as long as you do an overall maintainance before selling it. And for your case if you are changing to i7 processor, you have to change your motherboard and I guess your PSU too its the most expensive parts on building a computer anyways.

So its better to sell or give it to your relative or something, then make your self a new one.

Ya, you need everything new. But personally I wouldn't spend a dime right now. An i7 based rig will be great, but at this late date... the 780 is too old to invest in.

Tom's has tested the 750ti and it appears the next gen "Maxwell" cards are going to live up to their reputation. Double the graphical performance per watt. That will equate to low-end (125watt) performance.

TSCM will be pumping out the 20nm "killer" chips soon enough. We're all be wanting the successor to the GTX 680/770 or Radeon 7970/280X. The Titan is a year old now, may it rest in peace(eWaste).
