My Seagate 1TB the external drive is not initializing on my imac. It was working perfectly fine until I installed NTFS driver on mac so it reads on windows as well. After installing NTFS driver I connected the drive on my windows laptop however, it failed to read. Next i chose "Storage space" option on windows 8. Didn't work though.
When I connected back on my imac it gave me an error unable to initialise the drive. Even formatted the NTFS partition, now it shows me only the the NTFS partition and not the main partition.
I have important data in the main partition therefore I don't want to format that.
Tried everything like disk repair driver update but nothing seems to work.
Please help.
