Current specs:

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz Quad-Core
6GB (3x2) DDR3 1333 RAM
ASUS P8Z77-V LK Motherboard
Nvidia GTX 560
600 Watt Thermaltake power supply

I basically just want to run current games on high setting with good FPS. I also fraps alot so would I need better ram to prevent frames drops while recording? I also have the stock cpu cooler so I need another one. Preferably around $50.

The main thing I'm looking for is a better gpu though. Around $500.

And also will I need a better power supply?

r9 280x is a pretty decent card, it will be able to play most games at ultra, but it might be slightly over budget, in terms of cooling
in my experience the best cpu cooler around/under $50 would be the cooler master hyper 212, which can be picked up for around $30

I was thinking of going with a GTX 780

The best way to check if you can fit the GPU is to measure it yourself. A Reference GTX780 is 10.5 inches, so you should have more than 11inches of space from the side of the case (where the PCIe x16 slot is) to the HDD storage. The case is 20 inches in length and the HDDs are 3.5 inches, so there shouldn't be a problem with space. However, if you have bad cable management, they could cause trouble.

As for the PSU, I can't find a photo of the label on the net. Can you take a picture of the PSU label and post it here? Or at least check the combined wattage at the +12V rails and write it here.

I'm not sure what label your talking about. But I think what you're looking for is in the image gallery for the newegg link you posted.

I already looked at their image gallery, and the label didn't show the combined wattage for +12v rails. But when I searched for that PSU on google, there were similar with given combined wattage on the PSU label. Maybe there's one on yours as well.

You need to open the PC case and look at the label on the PSU, it shouldn't be hard to find. You already know how it looks like.
