I am getting the corsair vengeance and G skill ripjaws X at almost the same price ,

The problem is that corsair vengeance 4gb is for 1333 Mhz and Ripjaws is 1600 Mhz , Can anyone explain this, i got this info from flipkart.com

Corsair 4gb - http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vengeance-ddr3-4-gb-1-x-gb-pc-ram-cmz4gx3m1a1600c9/p/itmd2rypbx4eehaf?q=Corsair+Vengeance+DDR3+4+GB+%281+x+4+GB%29+PC+RAM+%28CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9%29&as=on&as-show=on&otracker=start&as-pos=p_1&pid=RAMD2RYPMVWCEK6E

G skill : http://www.flipkart.com/g-skill-ripjawsx-ddr3-4-gb-1-x-gb-pc-ram-f3-12800cl9s-4gbxl/p/itmd2rys8pgq3keh?pid=RAMD2RYRXBBF4WC8&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=g+skill+ripjaws+1600mhz+ddr3%2C+4gb&ref=63bef243-37c1-45a8-a537-7ec91d896cce

why should i take corsair which is just 1333 mhz and ripjaws is 1600 Mhz . ( i am kinda noob in these things if anyone can explain me that would be great.)

Dear both RAMs have CAS Latency of 9 so straight forward answer for your query is to go for G.Skill RipjawsX. This RAM will give you 1600MHz with CAS Latency of 9 which is very good for your requirements.

As for Dual Channel thing, yes by using two sticks you'll get the benefit of more bandwidth/frequency.

First off, you never want to buy single sticks of RAM. Buy them in pairs to take advantage of dual channel operation if your motherboard supports it. The speed difference costing the same is probably due to the fact that Corsair memory tends to be higher priced than many of those made by other manufacturers. Normally, yes, 1600 speed is better than 1333, but a lot will depend on what your motherboard is capable of running (speed-wise) as well as which memory is compatible with your motherboard.

Actually the problem is that I am going to buy 1x4Gb ram now and later add 1 more 4gb because of money problems ( just bought a 280X) , my motherboard is gigabyte 970a ud3, so the corsair vengeance is 1333MHZ and ripjaws is 1600 mhz correct?

P.S - its me the topic maker just a different ID

I have already spent quite an amount on graphic card and case, my 8 gb ram got screwed that's the reason I am buying 1 stick now and later one more. I don't have an option now, I have to buy one more stick after 1 month or so
