I have windows 7 installed on my computer. My computer does not have a built in card reader. So i tried using a pro/9xp atech

Well for the most part it`s a usb 2.0 device.
so it must be plugged into a usb 2.0 spec port if the computer has one.

The second part is how the computer was set up.
To get it working you may have to download and install the chip set drivers for the mother board name and model number you are using.

If a pre built system then i suggest you go to the website of the maker of it IE: Dell ect.
And locate the chip set drivers for the system and install.
It should resolve the problem if the device cannot function or windows complains about it when plugged in.

Thanks Shawn for you quick reply. My chip set drivers are up to date. When i found the device there was no software cd. Do you think if i was to find the drivers and download them it would recognize the device then. Also the drivers are for windows xp os so would they even work on a windows seven os? Thank you for you response.
