I need to choose a router for use with my planned Nintendo 3DS-XL.I've checked their official website and don't understand their connectivity requirements.Anyway, will it be okay if I use any wifi router? Will this be enough:http://www.flipkart.com/d-link-dsl-2520u-adsl2-ethernet-usb-combo-router/p/itmd2a539czjjnrh?pid=RTRD2A52ZD3XQH7H&srno=b_3&ref=2c5db69d-115b-42aa-b07b-837795f7885d ?
Will I need to buy a router with any particular features for the console to work with it?Thanks!

Not even sure where to start.

That device you linked is not a wireless router.
It is also a ADSL2 router so your internet must be delivered via DSL to be able to connect it, if you have say a cable connection then you need a different device.

Pretty much any wireless router will work that has the proper WAN port for your internet connection type. Nintendo device tend to make a wireless network a pain to run. If you run some of the older games you will be required to use a older non secure form of wireless encryption.

But can't I just attach a USB dongle and use that over wi-fi?
Anyway,is this enough:http://www.flipkart.com/tp-link-td-w8968-300-mbps-wireless-n-usb-adsl2-modem-router/p/itmdggsyph7ytbfx?pid=RTRDGGQ754BDWH7U&srno=b_4&ref=48d88678-813b-4a0e-85b3-ab6b765d4883 ?
It has the N connection type,I think and I don't know if it compatible.
Sorry for being illitetate about this.I've had internet over ethernet for all my life!

That router will work with the nintendo. The router will slow down to the 802.11g the games system uses and it will work fine.

These game systems are not PC you can only attach things that they have designed it to work with. It is not like you can load a PC software to support the dongle into the game system.

By default the router will run WPA 2 which will work with the newer games. If you were to load the old games from the DS you will likely have to make changes to your router so it can run WEP which is not secure....I would change it to play the game and then change it back when you are done.

So its compatible?I was planning to connect a USB dongle and use that connection, but seeing that's really difficult, will cable-ethernet be enough?
Thanks a lot for the quick answer,BTW!:)

I meant, can I spread a wifi connection from my dongle by connecting it to the wireless router and then access it from the 3DS XL?
And a cheaper one.Is this compatible:http://www.flipkart.com/netgear-wireless-n-150-router-wnr612/p/itmd6354qsufyzwf?pid=RTRD6352NMKRF7JB&otracker=ch_vn_networkcom_main_Featured%20Deals_prd_title ?

A wireless router already has wireless so it does not need a dongle. That router also will work with the nintendo box.

This router is very different that the other ones you have linked. This one does not have a ADSL modem in it.

The best bet likely will be to ask your ISP which router they recommend to run with their service. They will all work with the nintendo likely.
