i have this motherboard
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=B85+Pro4
and i want to buy 2xR9 270x to crossfire them
the motherboard have 2 PCI-E slots the first one have x16 land width
second one have x4 land width
can i crossfire them
if not what the best amd grapic card to crossfire them with x16 x4
ive heard that if x16 not using full x16 is will share with the second one like x12 x8
the first one it PCIe 3.0 second PCIe 2.0

Solution
taken from your link:

- 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (PCIE2: x16 mode)
- 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (PCIE4: x4 mode)
- 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots
- 2 x PCI slots
- Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™

Therefore YES you can crossfire 2 x 270x as for the PCIE transfer rate it will be (x8/x8)

when you install the 2nd 270x check the lane speeds through GPU-Z

here's a screenshot of my 2 x 280x in CrossfireX @ (x8/x8)

edit: i'd check the PSU though to make sure you can provide both gfx cards enough power.

do you think i can also acieve x8/x8 with my ecs h87 motherboard (http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1460&CategoryID=1&MenuID=172&LanID=0)?

cuz im having a similar dilemma i have that mobo and i already have 2 270x's though i still need to buy a psu to crossfire. if the mode stays at x16/x4 and achieve bad results, i may not continue my crossfire project, but if it will be at x8/x8, I'm happy cuz i got my second 270x for free by winning a contest hehe, thank you so much!

sir i just would like to ask did you continue your crossfire project? As I too am having thoughts on running x8/x8 mode when the mobo only tells 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (PCIE2: x16 mode) and 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (PCIE4: x4 mode)? thanks!

i have this mobo and having second thoughts (http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1460&CategoryID=1&MenuID=172&LanID=0)
