I just finished installing two new components, a Corsair cx660m power supply and an EVGA GTX 760. I installed the power supply first and had no issues that I noticed, then installed the video card. After being done for about 10-15 mins. I started to hear a single beep. It happens no matter what else I am doing. Just sitting, browsing the web, or playing a game.

Is this an issue with a new component or something different entirely?

Solution
It`s the 760 card telling you it does not have enough power.
meaning the amps it requires on the 12v rail are not enough.
So you need to check the amp rating on the 12v rail of the PSU.
and what the card needs or draws.

Or you have left a Pci-e power connector from the psu to the card that is needed.
Or use the molex to eight or six pin that should be provided.

In short the card is saying it needs more power.
This will happen as soon as windows has loaded and is using the Nvidia graphics driver the card ramps up it power consumption once the driver is running.

So if you forgot to connect the 12v pci-e power plugs its the cause for the constant continuous beep.
