Last night i remember my theme changing to Windows Basic, then when I went to computer > properties

I had to redo the test thing for the rating because Windows had found a new peice of hardware, when I did the rating nothing changed.

Is there a way to see what Windows detected?

I was playing games or getting ready to get into a game, and was speaking on Skype, suddenly it just changed, I didn't plug anything into it, nothing new was added to my knowledge, so I have no idea.

Windows changed the theme without my permission it just did it randomly, and the only thing I messed around with on that day was my monitor colors ect.

E: Maybe it was the monitor going in and out of the different modes ect, but would that then cause the computer to blue screen and freeze and the time the next day?

What are your complete build specs? Do you have a graphics card installed? I'll suggest downloading and running GPU-z (available here http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/ )and seeing what your graphics usage is while "idle" (I'm suspecting it's high), you can watch what it does under the 'sensors' tab.

I'm afraid I cannot do that, as it freezes before I get into the desktop now, even with safemode it crashed, even though the cursor was changing from normal to being able to click something.

I do have a graphics card installed it is a Gigabyte 260x with 2 GB memory

The things I have noticed are the temps of the cpu ect, they are very high while idle, but something even weirder is that it can go from 70c to 40c and back up again instantly, I don't believe the temps are recording properly.

E: When the computer freezes, it stops reading off the harddrive and everything, I can tell because of the hard drive LED stops flashing, so it must be something to do with hardware, right?

I'm suspecting a bot attack here but there are possible hardware issues which may cause such errors (PSU is notorious for errors unrelated to power), complete build specs would help a lot here.
I'm really focusing on the bot thing though, the more I consider it, bit-mining loves AMD...

I think I would recommend a complete re-install of your OS, totally clean from disk... I have read of some getting so deep into the registry and using various cloaking methods that removal is near impossible.
Before you go to that extreme, start a new thread in the Windows 7 section http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum-63.html see what kind of feedback you get there, hopefully someone will have an answer much easier than that (I don't)

- Disconnect incompatible hardware
- Check and repair disk errors
- Perform System Clean-Up
- Fix Windows hidden errors with Reginout.
- Scan for Malicious Content
- Run System File Check Up

After performing these steps your problem will solved. Thanks
