Hey everyone,
Just recently got a nice bit of cash and decided to build a new computer system. So here is what I've got to work with at the moment:

Motherboard: G1.Sniper 5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128595

CPU: i7 4770k
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116901

PSU: Corsair CX750
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139040

Video Card: HIS ATI Radeon HD7950 3GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161400

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233299

So that's the main components that I'm working with (plus an optical drive and a couple hard drives, and of course cooling devices.

I'm trying to do a out of the case boot and not having much luck. I've installed the CPU, made sure the CPU fan/heatsink is installed correctly and installed only one of my sticks of ram. Connected the 2 power connectors to the motherboard and even plugged in the extra sata power cord to supply more power to the PCIe slots but nothing. When I hit the power the CPU fan spins once and the LED's on the board light up briefly but it doesn't go any farther. There is a digital display on the board itself that lights up as well but doesn't form a complete number, looks more like a backward 6 than anything else.

Any advice or help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, I'm down to a very old laptop at the moment and looking forward to having a computer that can actually handle day-to-day tasks at the very least again.

If you need more information please let me know.

Looks like a bad board but try a couple of things, first pull the Sata plug for the PCIe slots, if it does not work then pull the 8 pin CPU power if it stays on then there is a problem with the VRM's for the CPU. I am presuming you have the board on a none conductive surface (not laying on top of a anti static bag).

I'm hoping it isn't a bad board, this is the replacement, the first board I received was damaged. I pulled the Sata for the PCIe and the 8pin but still no dice on getting it to power up. LED's flash once and the CPU fan spins once but that's it. I've got it sitting on cardboard currently to make sure it isn't conducting anything.

With me here I've only got an old PSU that won't work with a 4th gen motherboard, I can maybe swing down to a local parts store here in a bit and pick up another. I really hope it is the PSU.

Update: Just tried the old power supply with only the 24-pin attached. The motherboard powers on for a few seconds then stops and then repeats over and over again until the power is switched off.

On a whim I pulled out the first g1.sniper 5 motherboard that I received and plugged in just the 24-pin connector from my CX750 and my old Power supply. It's the exact same issue. The CX750 just spins the fan once and the lights flash. My old power supply spins up for a second then off and back on again repeatedly. What are the chances that both boards I received would have the same issue? Could it possibly be that both my PSU's are dead?

Went back through it to make sure I wasn't missing anything. With my CX750 I tried just the 24-pin connector and also with the 24 and 8 pin and it was only powering on for an instant. On a whim I used my old PSU, plugging in the 24-pin connector and the 4pin that i used on my old motherboard for cpu power. The Motherboard remains on but I get a long beep code of repeating beeps. These persist for a little while before the system restarts.

Also thanks rolli59 for helping me out with all of this.
