Are you experiencing some stability issues? if not then leave it stock(auto).

Leave it stock then. Adding more voltage will increase the cpu temps, heat is the worst enemy of CPU, heat will degrade the CPU performance.

Ya 4.0ghz on an 8320 should be fine at stock. Then up to 4.5 a small boost, 4.6-4.7, a big boost, 5.0 and up, massive voltage bump.

Then increase to 1.4V until you got some stability.
