I just bought a new computer rig. It has a Asus Maximus VI Hero 1150 Motherboard with a I5-4670K CPU.

Well I read online that if I set my multiplier to 46 and my voltage to 1.2 and it boots into OS and stays stable then I have an upper 50% quality chip. If I could do 48 and 1.25-1.3 I have a upper 25% chip.

Well I am trying to get 45 multiplier and it still not stable at 1.325 -1.375. I dont like those volts. I may just be old school and maybe CPUs can handle more voltage then before I dont know.

So its clear that I got a lower quilty build . I know I got batch L337. Should I RMA this CPU? Maybe get a better build quality. BTW I have a Noctu ND-14 cooler.

Nah, you should be good for a few years. The i5 you have chosen is a great cpu. Newer cpus can handle more volts. With a high end gpu like a 7970, you will be good for bf4 on high/ultra for 30 fps(that's what i have found).

Then don;t take volts past 1.3. as far as the 60 fps, it all hinges on your gpu now. The CPU is more than enoguht for any game.

Oh I have a EvGA SC 780 TI lol. But as I said before. If do anything under 1.345v it goes strait to BSOD with 124 code. So do I have a bad chip then and need to RMA it?

Whoops I didn't notice that BSOD part. Yes RMA it. A faulty chip.'
read that. Someone else had the same problem with the same chip. btw, great gpu, almost anything will be maxed out.
