Did I kill my GTS 450?

Thanks in advance to replying,

I was looking at my OHM today (Open Hardware Manager) and I noticed my fan was stuck running at 40% even when gaming, so I decided to down load MSI Afterburner and create my own fan settings (easy enough), now mind you I don't know much about computers, but have been watching and doing a lot of research in overclocking, so I thought I would have a tinker with MSI and Kombustor while I had MSI.

I put it up to the average of recommended clock speed and unlocked the Voltage and moved it up slowly after each test proved successful and stable...Suddenly, while running Kombustor, my screen stops for a split second and then comes back but my temp seemed to drop too fast for a simple.

Unfortunately I didn't take note of my values:
MIN:
Core : 51 MHz
Memory : 135 MHz
Shader : 101 MHz
MAX:
Core : 405 Mhz
Shader : 324 Mhz
Memory : 810 Mhz

THIS IS WHAT IT IS CURRENTLY DOING. OCCASIONALLY RISING TO THE MAX VALUE AND DROPPING AGAIN.

Am I just being a bit over cautious, and seeing something that didn't really effect my GPU. Or is it in some kind of Power saver mode.

Any reply is appreciated, and a overclocking guide would help me in the future.

Thanks
