Do I get the reference model or super-clocked GTX 750?

Evga has two GTX 750 models. One follows the reference model costing $120 while the other is super-clocked costing $10 more.

I've compared the specs, and the only differences are in the base and boost clock.

Reference: 1020/1085mhz (base/boost speed) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IDG3NDY
Super-clocked: 1215/1294mhz http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IDG3LUO/

I have a few questions to ask, considering I have never purchased a GPU upgrade before.

1) Does the (or "should the") super clocked version have a higher TDP than the reference model which has a TDP of 55 watts?

2) I have a stock Dell Inspiron 660 with a stock PSU of 300 watts. What kind of a negative effect can I get by using the SC version? Or is there no real side-effect? As in, will it fry my PSU, overheat, or cause excess noise?

3) Is the $120 on the GTX750 worth spending in your opinion? (to me comes to about $150 after shipping and exchange rates)

Thanks! Currently, I am just using an OEM GT620 and the GTX750 has come at the right time as I was looking to upgrade my GPU w/o getting a new PSU.

Actually, I have nearly the same problem. I have an i5 3330, GT 630, and a 330w PSU. I'm also looking to get the 750. I wouldn't advise getting the 750 SC. It uses more power. Don't push your PSU. It's not worth it. Just get the regular 750.

I would like to know this fact for sure from the experts around here. Apparently, the SC shouldn't be using all that more power than the stock version and considering 65 to 75 watts cards have been running without issues in the Inspiron 660, I have a gut feeling the 55 watts GTX 750 super-clocked should have no troubles as well.

In any case, I only have a 300 watts PSU. Yours is 330, so I am pretty sure you will be able to run the super-clocked version with no issues. nVidia explicitly said all GTX750/750 Ti cards with no 6-pin connectors are to run on factory OEM 300 watts PSU, but I just wanna confirm.

What CPU are you using? The second, much more important question is: do you really need this card? What are you gonna do with it? (Reply to tell me) And your PSU will probably not be able to handle this card, I would recommend a 350 watt PSU, mine BARELY runs an MSI GT 610 (home superclocked, very superclocked) I had to unplug the DVD Drive to save power so my system doesn't crash) The GTX750Ti is way more power hungry) If possible get something a branded version for lower power bills. The second thing is what RAM you have, and what clock its running at (MHz or GHz) Hope it helps : )
