Building a fairly low-end and low-cost system for a friend (£300-£400). I have chosen an EVGA 750 ti for the graphics card but don't really know what to choose for the CPU. What's the cheapest Intel Haswell CPU that won't bottleneck a 750 ti? I am thinking of the Pentium G3430 as it is relatively cheap without looking particularly weak. Will this bottleneck? If so, please leave suggestions of what to use instead. Remember it needs to be inexpensive and the GPU is only a 750 ti, so please don't make suggestions like a 4770k or something like that.

i7 4960X :p

in all seriousness yeah the pentium will do just fine for the 750ti. It won't be able to handle stuff like BF4 Multiplayer but should be able to handle most single player games pretty well for such a low cost cpu. Plus it has a great upgrade path.

It shouldn't bottleneck such a low performance gpu at all honestly, expect in big multiplayer games like BF4 ARMA 3 etc....

Thanks for the quick reply! But would it bottleneck?

exactly. Intel dual cores are not as bad as most people make them out to be. The Pentium can hold its own in a good
budget build

No it shouldn't bottleneck but if it does it won't be much at all
