Is my gtx 760 working properly?

It seems like my fps during gaming are always 5~15 lower than other people's who have the same cpu and gpu as me. I am not even running under 1080p. I frequently get to lower 30s during far cry 3 at max setting. I barely get 40 during AC4 at MEDIUM high setting. When I play Crysis 3 welcome to the jungle level, my fps drop to 20s unless I turn everything to medium while keeping texture at high.

When I use novabench, my gpu only got 500 score while other users' 760 got 900...

Is it because my 760 does not have enuf power?

my cpu is fx 6300
8gb ram
psu is evga bronze 500w 12v @ 40amp i think
but is the 760 performance reasonable? AC4 40 fps is without vsync. With vsync only 30 with 1 fps drop sometimes.

Ok, there shouldnt be any bottlenecking with that. When your playing a game, make sure to close out the other processes that are running. If you leave many processes up, it could make your GPU and CPU not preform as well. Also, check task manager to see if there are any programs that are taking up too much CPU.

Yea that seems pretty reasonable. If you want you can check out the benchmarks of your card here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-760-review-gk104,3542-13.html . Keep in mind you will most likely get a bit less FPS then these benchmarks because the CPU used in the test is faster then yours. But personally, i think your card is preforming fine. One more thing though, what RAM are you using and how much?

You are right, i just tried the exact same setting from the link you gave but at 1600x900:
Very High Quality Preset, DirectX 11, 2x MSAA, v-sync off, 1920x1080

And I got 45 to 55 fps during firefight at an enemy camp. Does seem pretty reasonable.
I was just worried cuz I don't have much experience installing video cards. Both the card and PSU are brand new. And
I wasn't sure if I got all the right pin connected and stuff you know. But I guess its all good. Thanks
