Will the gtx 780 fit in a micro atx motherboard?

Let's say i have a big enough case will the gtx 780 (11.5 inches) fit in a micro atx mothernboard (9.5 inches)? and what pci slots are required?

If it has a PCIe X16 slot it will fit the board, usually it is the case that has the size restriction.

Yes it has one pci e x16 2.0 and 2 mini pci slots. Also, will i get any performance loss because it says that the gtx 780 is compatible with pci 3.0 but i only have a pci 2.0 slot.

Theoretically yes, but you'll never notice a difference.

Video card size is usually an issue with cases where it might run into the drive bays in the front of the case, but there's no reason it wouldn't "fit" the motherboard in terms of size.
