I am going to be building a pc that will use the ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 mobo and fx 8320 cpu, and i was just wondering, how do I update the bios? I was reading a review and it said the bios would need an update to work on cpus above the fx 6300. I have never updated a bios before and was hoping someone could give me some much needed advice.

May i suggest a motherboard because im using a 8350 and this board is a great board for the price, ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138372 ) has a 140w cpu support (8350 is 125w) and 64gb memory support, sli support, duel bios ect

Keep in mind that the Biostar doesn't have USB 3.0 headers for a front usb port on a pc case. Fabulous deal otherwise.

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=M5A99FX+PRO+R2.0&p=1&s=24 Click on Global for the current 2301 version and download, extracted and place on a usb flash drive. Stick it in the GREEN usb port just above your motherboards sound jacks. Reboot and go into the bios by hitting delete. Go to the tools tab and the click on the bios flash utility and it should automatically open the flash drive (if not, then just browse for it). Select the M5A99FX-PRO-R20-ASUS-2301.CAP file and run it. Reboot when it's done.
