I don't have that port although I found out that I have to put the VID of my headset in the settings for it to work. I already did some research and can't figure out to find it, do you know how?
Yep that's it! I have it off for now but if I could get it to work then I'd be able to charge my headset quickly with the power off. I've done enough research and might be able to get it to work if I knew the VID for my headset. If you could help me with that I'd really appreciate it.
that is what it does, but they made it complicated. If I want to use it with my front USB 3.0 ports then I need to put the VID in the software settings.
The port is supposed to be JUSB1 but someone found out that you can use all of your USB ports including USB 3.0 ports without having to hook them up to there, you just need to put the VID in the software settings. Also, the software is only for turning all of this on. It's late here so I don't want to get too specific or link any threads, I can do that later.
I don't know where to find the Vendor ID to enable it to USB ports, and if it is able to be done, I would not trust using it with all USB deices as some don't need the extra fast charging. You will have to find out from that person how to do that as I am not familiar with MSI software tampering.
Yeah I'll look into it more, and thanks for taking the time to try and help me with this. If anybody else knows how to get this to work or find Vendor IDs than please chime in, otherwise you get best answer unknownofprob.
It would be my recommendation to use the supercharger port, as there is no 100% safe guarantee to use the super charger feature to all USB ports, In some cases, Enabling faster charging (more power) can damage your USB devices, and that is not good.
