Hey everyone, So I just picked up a new BENQ XL2420Z monitor, and I am unable to get it past 49 FPS and I can not figure out why, I tried everything I know. I need a more tech savvy person. I use to have a Samsung 720p TV and I could get 80 to 90fps on ultra, doesn't make any sense to me. my specs i7-4770k, MSI Z87 MPOWER, ASUS HD 7970 Directcu ii, Using DVI at 144mhz. Corsair Vengeance LP 16gb (4x4). Please help.

Your new monitor is 1920x1080 resolution. The old one was only 1280x720 or 1366x768. The card has to render a far greater number of pixels and texels per frame than before. Naturally your frame rate will be lower.

Not unless you want to back off on some settings. Or set your in-game rez to 1280x720 or 1366x768.
