My local Micro Center (Orange County, CA) decided to add $20 to the i5 4670k so the bundle with this motherboard would come out to $270. Is there a different motherboard I can get that is ~$60? Or should I just wait until next month's Micro Center bundles and get one of those? I really don't need a 4670k, but I want to go with Intel and that's the cheapest bundle they have. If I could get a cheaper CPU/mobo slightly lower tier than the 4670k for less that'd be great I currently have an i5 4670k unopened

I would avoid the MSI Z87 motherboard; almost all of them are returned at my Microcenter. Don't cheap out on the motherboard and get something decent like the ASRock Z87 Extreme4 or one of the Asus Z87 motherboards. I have the ASRock Z87 Extreme4 and it has been great for me.

Also, avoid any of the Corsair CX series power supplies. They are built with cheap components and you have a higher chance of it taking out the rest of your system when it dies.

Think long-term and buy quality parts. Save yourself the headache of returning cheap parts.
