I currently have a decent laptop, not very good not very bad, and i am thinking about upgrading to a gaming desktop computer. Ive done hours of research, and i decided to post a thread here just to see other peoples opinions. i would like the new computer to be able to run resource intensive games such as Skyrim or other games like the such, if that's even possible.

My budget is 600-700 dollars, not including windows or keyboard, i can figure that out later, im more worried about the pc part first. even with all the research, i am no techno-wiz and i have no clue what all the fancy letters and numbers in front of the product means, so if you could explain, that'd be great, thanks. i do know the basics of what does what, though.

My priorities for my computer to do from greatest to least: gaming, downloading, research, movies.

Thank you for your time to help me, i really appreciate it.

That's a RAID HDD... And the 8120 is by no means for price/performance. Also the 760 will out perform the R9 270x, and the 760 has Shadowplay.

Excellent value build .
Personally I'd pay the extra for the Asrock 970 extreme3 R2.0 or the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboards so I could have some overclocking capability .
You could also drop to a 500 watt psu to help offset that cost if you wanted

That motherboard is known to catch fire, literally... It has VRM issues. And a 8320 isn't needed for this kind of gaming.

Gaming is roughly 80% GPU.

Just sayin'
