I tried flashing an old wrt54g v5 with my dads laptop which for some reason had faulty ethernet drivers and I bricked the router. The power light blinks and when ever I try unbricking it with tftp it either says erasing flash and fails or that it is unable to reach a server. I have it plugged into my computer via an ethernet which does work. When I type ping -t 192.168.1.1. I get a response either 1ms or less. I have tried so many things and I can't figure out what to do. I have very little experience with this and can't figure this out. I'm horribly uninformed in the area of networking though I can use my computer well and do many things my friends can't (basically I'm not going to mess it up due to stupidity and have some experience figuring things out). I really need help with this.
