HD 7870 upgrade help

Solution
You have to uninstall the video card drivers. You go into the device manager and hit uninstall on the graphics and displays tab.
From the link: PCI-E power connector (for high-end video cards): 2

Now I cant tell you for sure, since it dosent specify which type it is, or the PSU itself. But it has a chance, if the connectors are 6+2 you will have no problem. If they are both 6 pin (Which they likely are) you are going to have to use both 6 pin in an adapter to make an 8 pin, and use two molex connectors to make a single 6 pin.
That or replace the PSU.

its not easy to tell from the photo, but it looks like you have two 6pin connectors, and I think the extra 2 pin white connectors can make one of them up to 8.

I should think you'll be ok. I'd be suprised if the card isnt just two 6 pin connectors, my 7870 is, and every other gfx card I have had for the last few years.

cool! one more question: since this is my first attempt at upgrading my video card, is there anything I need to do as far as software? the H9-1350 comes with an HD 7670 stock. Do I need to do anything special or is it as simple as putting the new card in and plugging it up? (sorry for all the questions...i just wanna be sure)
