Prebuilt Gaming PC on $2500 Budget?

Greetings,

I would like to buy the best gaming PC I can for $2500. I do not build and do not know anyone who will build a PC for me. I am open to buying a custom PC from a reputable site. I have scoured Newegg for months. Tonight I visited Origin and built a $14,000 gaming system. There's just no way. I will be very happy with a $2,500 rig with credible advice, but left to my own devices, I'll just scour the net forever.

Thank you for any insight or suggestions you care to provide.

14,000 for what you want? Jeez for 2500 you can build a great build! Is that for the pc with or without monitor mouse etc. I recommend you just build your own. Doing research watching videos and asking on forums u could find all the help you need. Really for 2.5k you can build a great machine. If anything u can copy a build for that much

It's pretty easy to build, but hey, if you live in the US I'll build it for ya! :D

No joke, or I'll even walk you threw the build process, it's a great learning experience, plus, if anyone you know wants a PC, you'll know how parts work, and what goes where.

He's right it's like Legos. You can ask people like us frequantly if parts will work together and general questions! Pcpartpi let is a great place to start. You can see prices of many stores and you can easily figure out what works and what doesnt. 2.5k is plenty. Heck I myself am building my first pc for 1.2k soon. How does one spend 14k on a pc haha

When you buy pre-built, it's easy to get fooled into paying over 6k and 10k, I see it happen all the time, and it isn't fair cause my baby business hardly moves cause big names charge people a surplus... Ugh.

Anyway, there are plenty of people here to help you 24/7.

I said I 'don't' build. But I 'have.' Ten years ago the Army broke my computer shipping it stateside. I replaced the motherboard, but lazily failed to screw in all of the grounding screws. I fried it good and proper. So I disassembled three other systems and build the best rig I could for my purposes, and it lasted me three years. I became quite the gearhead in the process. Those days are behind me. I recognize that custom rig >prebuilt. So I'm game to have it commissioned. But I won't roll the dice on my building it.

[strike]Ah kk. Well, as I said, I'm always open to building a PC and I don't charge crazy prices. I price check most everything with my local Fry's Electronics and then get the rest shipped from whatever market they were in.

All warranties are provided by the manufactures, however, I've only had one person come back and that's cause he didn't know how to get the internet/WiFi running >.<

I'm located on the west coast of USA

However! I don't know if this is considered advertising, so I would need to ask a mod if I can even consider doing this. And that all is also up to you initially.

If I did do this, which I do have ads all over the net in other places, and a website, I would only charge you 5% so $150 to build it, and any maintenance for the next two years, which only includes part installs, repairs that are warranted, and virus removal for free of course.

Again, I have no clue I'll have to read over the sites ToU and rules.[/strike]

I'm glad you chose to build/try to build your own, very glad, you wont regret it, and I wont have to keep reading the ToU and rules xD

Alright. Alright. Alright. The other element is that I just don't have the time to investigate and research the best components for my money. I'm a smart dude (at least in other fields). As a smart dude, I'll debate the merits of each component for months. I hear the term "4K" being bandied about these days. If you absolutely insist that I build a "4K" gaming system....suggest the build and we'll go from there.

I'm just saying you should put your past behind you. These days it's soo much easier. There are many many videos explaining parts explaining how to install things it's crazy. There are a multitude of ppl here on this forum. U don't even have to ask a question just google it and most likely someone asked it before. It's not that hard. You want to get the best bang for your hard earned money. Best of luck and I'm sorry to hear about your computer building past

Sure, get clarification where you need it. That doesn't stop you from suggesting a build. I've read you can make a pretty good 4K (whatever that is) build + monitor for $2500. So $2500 without a monitor should be pretty great.

4k is an ammount of pixels in a row on your screen. For 4k you would need a 4k monitor and a strong gpu. You most likely won't need a 4k gaming build. Don't hold if against me but I'm not sure a lot of games run 4k yet

then i seriously suggest you find the cheapest prebuilt computer that you can find with a z87 mother board that is capable of sli graphics cards. get a 4770k processor and the best 1000 watt power supply you can get. get whatever hard drive space you need. order it. when you get it, go on newegg and order two evga gtx 780 acx cooler cards(about $1050 for both). when you get them in the mail, take the side panel off your computer, slide those two cards into the slots(like putting a cd in a tray) and hook up the power pins(like pluging in a dvd player or a tv) and the sli cable(like hooking up an hdmi cable). enjoy your beast of a computer.

So. Lets just assume that I have $2500 and want the absolute best gaming rig I can get for that money. Best frames. best pixels. Best refresh. And if push comes to shove, I'd not mind not having to build it myself.
