Hey guys, i recently installed a new GPU (GTX 770) and PSU (Corsair 600w) and a problem that i've been trying to fix is how my monitor is recognized as a Generic Non-PnP monitor and was not like that with my old GPU. With several attempts on trying to resolve this matter i failed and so i overlooked this problem. But now every time i shutdown my PC and turn it back on again my monitor automatically goes into power save mode and won't get out of it unless i press the button on my monitor (Input button) and only then will i be able to see my screen. This problem progressed into my gaming sessions (Planetside 2 Ultra settings) where at random times (Usually around 1-2 hours into gaming) my monitor goes into power save mode and i have to do the whole input button thing again. So now it comes to my question: Is having my monitor recognized as a Generic Non-PnP monitor causing my power save mode? if so how do i correct this problem? Is this a temperature problem? (Everything at 35c and below at Idle)
Things i have tried:
Checking cables to be correctly connected.
Turning off everything and pulling out power cord of monitor and plugging it back in.
Turned off super energy saving through monitor buttons
All drivers are said to be up to date. (Uninstalled (Through Device Manage) and reinstalled (Installation disk) drivers of monitor)
Reinstalled GPU drivers through geforce experience (Did not uninstall first)
Positive that my 600w PSU is sufficient
Specs:
Windows 7
Intel core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHZ
Nvidia Geforoce GTX 770
600w PSU corsair
16GB ram
Monitor: LG IPS235
Sidenote: When i first turned on my system (With new PSU and GPU) the drivers of the GPU was updated through geforce experience and did not use the installation disc that came with it, i tried using the disc but the thing seemed to not want to run no matter how many times i click on it. Don't know if this was relevant or not.
