Greetings my friends - I have been trying to figure out which build is best for the buck.

This is my build so far:
Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell - Box
Kingston HyperX blu DDR3-1600 DC
Ikke på lager, 3-4 dages levering
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 - 1TB
ASUS Z87-K (C2) - Haswell
Kingston SSDNow V300 SSD - 120GB
Corsair Vengeance C70 - Military Green
Sapphire Radeon R9 280X Toxic - 3GB.

It's fine, but not really "budget" or "bang for buck".
I think that pairing a 4670K with a cheaper Z87 board is unlikely to produce great returns, as you haven't really justified the extra cost of the K-series if you can't get a decent overclock on it. I'd either spend more on the motherboard to facilitate overclocking, or spend less on the CPU and motherboard, and push the funds elsewhere (either graphics or your pocket).

A 280X Toxic is pretty excellent as 280Xs go, but it also tends to come at a significant premium over say a 280X Windforce which isn't as good, but probably better performance/money.

You're probably right about that it isnt that much of a budget build, thats why i have modified it a bit:

CPU : AMD FX-6300 Black - AM3+ - Box - with maybe a noctua aftermarket cooler, then maybe i can overclock to 4.5 to 5 ghz

MO: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0

For CPU, it's probably going to be an FX6300/8320, depending on pricing. You could also make a case for an i5-4430/4440 as you don't need to allow for the cost of a solid overclocking motherboard or CPU cooler.

For graphics cards, there isn't really an easy answer. The best price/performance ratio is very likely to come from something very cheap. It's hard to say exactly, but something a bit older but still fairly competent and low end, perhaps a HD7750/7770/7790 or something of that nature. Those cards should be capable of running any modern game, but at reduced settings/framerates.
Ultimately, the best value is going to come from the card which provides you with the performance you need at the cheapest price, rather than one that gives you performance above and beyond this. Right now, if you are playing at 1080P then this card is probably going to be something like a GTX760 or R9 270X, ie a card capable of high end detail, with a few compromises here and there, rather than a GTX770/R9 280X which will be more comfortable.
