Mushkin compatibility issues

I just purchased 1Gb mushkin PC2700 ram 200 pins cl2.5, for my acer travelmate 290 series but isnt working,are there any compatibility issues?

Yes, it is compatible. Try installing the 1GB module alone (keep the other slot empty), and check if it boots. If doesn't then revert back to the old memory and update your BIOS from Toshiba support. Check your manual or the support site for instructions. After the BIOS update try installing the memory. Keep us posted!! Good luck!!
