Yeah it's working which is all that really matters but for how long. I'm currently building another rig anyways all I need is a few SSDs and my GPU, so hopefully it last until then. And I never knew how to flash a bios. I just updated it with @BIOS when I first build it. Does that make a difference?
it certainly can. if i remember correctly, @BIOS is the software that flashes your BIOS in windows.
you should never flash your BIOS through windows as it can lead to exactly what just happened; in worse case scenarios, you can end up bricking the motherboard which will require you to send the motherboard back to the manufacturer for repair (if they accept it in the first place).
the most reliable way of flashing the BIOS is using a USB flash drive to save the new BIOS onto, then entering your BIOS and manually starting the flash process from there. you can take a look at the Gigabyte website for directions on how to do this properly.
also, i believe your motherboard has Dual BIOS support so if the worst case scenario mentioned above happens, your motherboard should have a built-in switch that allows you to change between the main BIOS and back-up BIOS.
