Hi there, so a few hours ago I installed this hard drive (ST3500413AS ) into my setup, and it seems to work fine.
The only problem I have is that whenever I start windows, windows is trying to install it and it fails and it slows down my computer for about 2-3minutes untill it's done.
My question is that, why does it fail? is there a driver for this hard drive that will sort this out?
thank you

Windows has the driver required, natively, so there should be nothing to install unless you're doing a RAID setup.

As there may be something wrong with your HDD, I would suggest testing your HDD with Seagate's "SeaTools" diagnostic program. If you do not have a computer with Windows installed yet there is a version that makes a bootable CD: http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-dos-master/ or if you have a computer with Windows, there is a Windows version: http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-win-master/
