Hi to the community. The title above says it off - are there any PCI express 3.0 low profile graphic cards that can work on an Inspiron 580s Dell desktop ?

Solution
Yes, in general any low profile PCIe 3.0 based GPU will work (via backward compatibility) with previous versions of PCIe slots. Possibly of greater concern is whether your Dell's power supply can meet the power needs of the GPU you are considering.

Also, make sure that the low profile GPU you purchase actually comes with the low profile bracket.

No, if the Motherboard does not have a Pcie-slot for 3.0, you will not be able to run it in that speed. If your motherboard is lower than that, (i.e 2.0 etc) the graphics card will usually adapt to that slower speed. However, you should always check your motherboard specifications for that compatibility. Good luck~

Pcie is forwards/backwards compatible. Even though it's 2.0 he can use any pcie gpu. The limiting factor will be your psu. You can just google the model and see most people are going with a 7750 on the stock psu. Why are you upgrading? What is your budget?
