I recently bought a mic headset for BF4 and Day-Z. The problem that I'm having, albeit simple, is frustrating me and making me not even use the stupid mic. When I plug the mic into the two separate headphone jacks (one's orange and one's pink) there's no orange plug on my sound card so I've just been plugging it into the green. Now, when I am chatting with someone, ALL the sound comes through the headset. The shooting, the explosions, and the talking all come through. How the heck do I set it up so that ONLY the voices of the person I am talking to come through the headset?

Solution
Wait. I really didn't understand the problem.
You are gaming and skyping at the same time and the other person can hear your bullets? Then your headsets must be open one. A little bit sound leaks out of them. Try turning down the volume a bit and decrease microphone sensitivity

No, while I am gaming and talking on my mic to the people I am gaming with I can't get the voices to come through the headset speaker. The voices and the game sounds come through my speakers, when I want ONLY the game sounds coming through speakers and ONLY voices coming through my mic headset.

In the right bottom corner of the screen(assuming that you are using windows), click that little arrow and then the Volume button. There is an option which says mixer. Click it and it will open a window where you can adjust the volumes separately.
ENJOY :-D
