I have a computer about two years old, with the exception of the mobo and the CPU which are about 6 months. While using it the monitor will lose the signal, in the middle of playing a game, internet, using word, the application doesn't seem to matter. I tried all of the general steps listed in the forum, and the problem doesn't seem to be with the DVI cable or monitor.
Only after letting my computer sit for a bit (usually more than 20 minutes) will it receive a signal again. However, while the monitor is off I can still hear sound so I know my computer is running. I have tried resetting BIOS and installing driver updates but they didn't seem to have an effect. Any advice appreciated, thanks!
