Hello, I recently purchased a sound card, the one in question; Asus xonar dgx around christmas, which has worked pretty well up until recently.
The problem I have been having lately is that whenever anything is connected to the aux out slot which I connect headphones and speakers to has given me annoying noises in the left earphone of multiple headphones, or slightly quieter in speakers on one side.

Can anyone please give me advice on what to do/how to fix it?
Or does it sound like a faulty product as I can more than likely still return it.

Thanks so much

If it only happened recently, likely defective, but also check to see that the drivers for it are up to date; rule of thumb for soundcards is to put them as far away as possible from all other components. In a perfect world you wouldnt even have the soundcard in your computer, as it is a terrible place for sound components due to all the electrical interference. (personal rant about soundcards vs an external usb DAC).

but yeah, check drivers, and to see you don't have a bunch of cabling or your gpu right next to it

I also recently reinstalled drivers because the audio controller was messing up, so hopefully will be that.
Other than that I have slight ocd so my computers internal wiring is as hidden as it can be tbh.

Will let you know, thanks.

No joy, would you have any idea if i'd even be able to send it back after two months? This is the second faulty hardware component I've had then, joy.
