Will a MSI z77a -g43 motherboard handle my gtx 670 and will a cool master 500w be enough for now to support the hole system?

The motherboard what I have known is a foxconne H61MXE. Can that be my problem that my games are lagging? I am getting the z77a g43 on Friday

cpu - i5 3570K
Motherboard - Foxconn H61MXE
RAM - 2x4 DDR3
gpu- is using a gtx 650 now but have a gigabyte 670 gb2
psu - coolmaster 500w

It's likely not the problem, and you should list things like what cpu you have as this is a much more likely cause for your gpu not working to its' full potential. also make sure the cpu you have is compatible with z77. a newer motherboard will not give you any more performance if there was nothing wrong with the old one

well you are using an ivy bridge processor with a sandy bridge motherboard...so that is likely the problem. go with the z77 board and you should actually see an increase....make sure to check proper compatibility for future processor-motherboard combos. the 650 isnt a very strong card to begin with, so you may also just have your settings set too high. for it

ok thanks alot! so my old motherboard is the problem that my games are lagging on my gtx 670? and is the z77a-g43 motherboard a good enough board for the gtx 670? will my 500w coolmaster psu be enough for now? i do not want to damage the components within my pc it the psu is to weak.

last question...then i put my gtx 670 in the foxconn then i check the windows experience index to see my rating. the rating of my graphics was 6.8 and it must be at least 7.9... do you know that is the problem that it showed 6.8?

Just something I've seen, if you did a color calibration for your monitor, it can really slow things down. Also make sure you have a good strong PSU. I had a 750 watt psu and it started having problems. Graphics card and then the blu-ray drive quit working. Just things to watch for.

can it not be that the my motherboard that i have now (foxconne H61MXE) is not strong enough for the gtx 670 and then on the rating it does not show the rating of the gtx 670 full potential?

yes i am going to upgrade my motherboard with an msi z77a - a43 motherboard. will a msi z77a - a43 motherboard match my processor? and solve my problem because i really want to solve this problem!

I'm actually starting to get a little frustrated with you... the socket on the 3570k is 1155, and so will fit into any board listed as 1155 socket; that being said, z77 is the newer board style for ivy bridge and so lets you get the most out of your processor. It may not fix your problem, as stuff like this is trial and error.

1. first try downloading the most recent drivers for the gpu from the nvidia site
2. make sure you are set to max performance in nvidia control panel (670 as primary graphics adapter)
3. if those two do not work, try the new motherboard
