Hi guys, I have done a fair bit of research before hand, but couldn't find a comprehensive answer;

I recently built a watercooled pc and have been using core temp to monitor my temps, but have also used MSI afterburner beta, and HWMonitor. All three have been giving me the same issue;

my CPU sits idle at around 21-23C, and when under load on intel burn test usually sits at 45-50C, but every couple of seconds it jumps to around 75, then back to 45, and keeps fluctuating between the two, sometimes sitting on one or the other for a few seconds before jumping back. I dont see that my CPU can jump up 30C in less than a second, then back down in the same amount of time. Just wondering whether anyone had any insight into this :)

My specs are as follows if it helps:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87 OC Force
CPU: i7-4770K
CPU block: XSPC Raystorm

thanks in advance :)

P.S. All clocks are at stock, haven't tried OC'ing yet, as i want to be able to get accurate temps before i attempt any.

It only seems to do it on Intel Burn test, when using Cinebench, or rendering some of my work, it sits at 50 under 100% load, so i think i will use these as my temp testing for now :)

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same issue, but my temps are always fluctuating, even at idle.
My temps in degrees Celsius are recorded as 1 second intervals and are as follows: 30 32 56 30 57 30 31 32 34 30 32 31 30 57 30 30 30 62, 30 31 35 31 32 31 55 55 55 30 31 62 30 55. Is it even possible for a CPU to raise its temperature by 25 degrees in 1 second?
