I was just wondering if I could convert my 'Dell dimension E530' into a gaming PC. As it is still running smoothly, as i'm a newbie to gaming PC's. I'm just wondering could i convert my Dell desktop rather than letting it go to waste.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi there,

Could you provide a link to a specs page for your Dell Dimension E540.

In terms of the info I've found using google, It is probably not viable to turn it into a gaming PC.

You may well be better off choosing a budget and looking at what kind of a gaming PC that will get you and selling the Dell as a complete working unit.

If that is not an option you wish to pursue there are a few components that can be carried over but it will only be ram and HDD etc.

A link to specs page or posting the PC specs will help just incase I've been reading on an outdated model.

it probably has a not-so-good board which might limit upgrades and probably non-existent overclocking capability.
you will surely need to buy a better psu as well
