Hi there,

I have some files stored on the network location. One of the user reported that he is not able to access the network location using the domain name. For example: \\network_location. However using the IP address works. For ex: \\10.0.0.0

Other people are able to access the files using the network name. Could you please advise how can I rectify this issue?

Solution
Windows is (in my opinion) not so good in fouding networkstuff.
This may help:
1. Start
2. Computer
3. In the above where stands computer type \\[name of Network location]
4.Left up corner by "favorites" click with right mouse button
5. Add to favorites (or something like that)

This may help. another option is to just mount the harddrive over network.

yes they are on same network..If the user tries to access the network location from a different machine then they dont have any issues. Is there a way to clear the cached network location? Could this issue be machine specific?
