Hello, I don't know much about hardware so maybe this will be a stupid question. I have an Intel i5 cpu, and I plan to buy an R9 280X VGA, will it work with an Intel cpu the same like with an AMD cpu? Also does it a better choice than a GTX 770 because the mantle feature? I play to use it for 2-3 yrs because I'm unsure when I can upgrade to a new one.

Solution
the CPU model in title does not match an i5; the 3770 is an i7 model.

Answering your question, both cards work fine with an i5 CPU, provided that your motherboard and power supply can support the card.

As for what card is better, I suggest you look at some benchmarks of the games you intend to play and see which card performs better. I personally prefer the r9 280x because it has DirectX 11.2 not just 11.0 and it has 3GB VRAM instead of 2GB which will be better as games are likely to start using more than 2GB. Both cards are pretty similar and the GTX 770 has things like Shadowplay, G-Sync and CUDA support so if those things interest you then you should look at the GTX 770.

Mantle is pretty new but it is already showing improvement...

Sorry, it is an i5-3550.
I checked some benchmarks, and saw the GTX 770 performing a bit better except in BF4, but I'm curious how popular Mantle support will become in a few years.
Which PSU do you recommend for a R9 280X?
I wanted to buy a Seasonic M12 II 620W for the GTX 770 but it doesn't have 2x8 pci-e connectors.

I would get this PSU if you are not doing Crossfire/SLI: http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/rm-series-power-supply-units/rm-series-rm650-80-plus-gold-certified-power-supply.html

I would get this if you want to do Crossfire/SLI in the future: http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/rm-series-power-supply-units/rm-series-rm750-80-plus-gold-certified-power-supply.html

The RM series are all fully modular and the fan is silent until 40% load. Also the cables are flat and black so they are visually better and aid in cable management. They are also 80+ Gold Certified.
