I own an old pair of Turtle Beach P11's and I wanted to do a "mobility mod" - I won't explain it, it would take too long - and the main purpose of doing it was to listen to music on my iPod.

The problem is the P11's need to have a USB conection to function. So, What I wanted to know is if it's possible to "convert" the USB to 3.5mm.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Unfortunately not.

The Turtle Beach's require this usb connection as power as well as the audio. This is so that they have enough 'juice' to provide decent sound aswell as the bass boosting.

A 35mm port doesn't output anywhere near enough power to support higher end headphones/headsets. Just the buds and the like.
