how to restore memory to a flashdrive? or properly delete files from flashdrive?

I have been using a flash drive to transfer files between two computers (not to save them on drive). It used to have at least 10 GBs of memory and now can not hold one file. Have I thrown files out but still somehow occupied memory for them? Is there a way to reformat the drive to get functionality back?

when in your PC in windows explorer, right click on it, and format it.

yep, just insert the drive in a pc, copy whatever data you want to keep and right click the drive and format it. leave everything on auto and quick format and you should be good to go in a few seconds.

Keep in mind that flash memory degrades over time and sectors of it become read-only when that happens.
